Yankee Doodle Days

A few weekends ago our town celebrated Yankee Doodle Days and Gideon, Mom and I went down to watch the parade, go to the duck race and see the sights around town. We had so much fun although it was a little rainy and we missed the duck race (they started without us, can you believe that?). Here are some pictures of our day.

Fathers Day!

On Sunday we went to visit Grandpa Slocum and Gideon got to spend the day outside and relax together.

On Saturday we had a great Father's day at our house with the whole Dontje family. It was such a beautiful day and we were able to get outside to sit and relax.

Up North

Last weekend we went up to Harbor Springs to visit our family and so Gideon could meet all of his Great Aunt's and cousins. Steve's aunt and uncle graciously let us stay at their house and we had a blast with them and Steve's cousins and their kids. Everyone said what a good boy Gideon is and he loved seeing everyone. We got a chance to go to Cross Village to visit with Steve's grandma and we even went shopping and sight seeing to Mackinaw City. It was such a fun weekend. One to definitely remember.
